People who commit to not have sex til' marriage, purity ring, no drinking, no drugs, no swearing, etc. (no offense to some basilers) Just the "normal" goody-two-shoes. TBH I don't like them since they're not that fun to hang around with :l They just annoy me because of how normal and average they are.

[/quote] Normal and average = people that drink and goes party everyday. That's what mainstream tell people to do, so mainstream = normal and average. Those people are special and either pretty low or high. They know how to have fun without being influenced by substance that make your mind go weird. Or either they just hermits and stay in their mom basement doing nothing.

I'm thinking people have different interpretations of 'straight-edge'. As for me, no smoking is a definite. Drinking would be acceptable for occasions and I swear way more than I'd like to. ._.

Yuh, erm. I don't really have a problem with them, as long as they don't brag/flaunt/whatever about it. Or try and "show me the light" Like yooo...I chose to do drugs and drink. You chose to not do them. I can still be your friend, and i'll understand if you're like "please don't smoke or anything when you hang with me k?" Then I'll be sober and smoke-free while we're hanging. Basically, you do you. And I'll do me.

I used to drink and smoke everyday and I've been much happier since I quit. We're not all "goody-two-shoes". Some of us have just advanced beyond the need.
