Like my whole life, we got a planner every year (where you write down whats for hw and stuff). I never really used it ever, I just had it around. My new teacher gives detention for not writing in your planner. I wrote everything for that day and then she looks back to last week. I missed a spot in English, and she yelled at me and gave me detention. She's a Science Teacher... And she gave me detention for not writing in my English part. Is this even justified lol? It takes long for someone to get into a habit of doing something though. I'm mad lol, but I guess it'll help me remember. Thoughts?

all I ever do in detention is sleep. I never understood what was so bad about it. Same with at home suspensions (although I've never been suspended yet). You were bad, so we're sending you home where you have your computer and everything for the day. wut.

What grade are you in? I mean, I'm in 8th and no one cares about planners, even though we're required to buy them. That's seriously not right and technically, she is not allowed to look in your planner, maybe if you were in special ed it might be different (are you?)

that's stupid. I've never used my agenda since it was mandatory in elementry school. honestly, how do you forget you have homework? can't you just make a mental note that you need to finish math and study for bio?

My friend got detentions carried over from last year :D I've only had detention once, but i don't see the big deal; first of all, i find it calming, a nice place to do your homework, and it doesnt really count towards anything as long as its not a disciplinary detention.

She be trippin bro. I used to get in-school suspensions and detentions all the time back in elementary. We used to get sent to this old kitchen where they just lock you in pretty much, and all I did was eat the other teacher's lunches and sleep. I was in there probably a couple times a day, 2-3 times a week.
