Need Turtle Help!

so i got a turtle from a friend and its really small. like 2 inches small and its a red eared slider. its in a clear zip lock box (yea i know its small but i just got it..) it has pebbles in it and just water. i have some turtle food that are sticks but the problem is my turtle won't eat it..... im so scared it might die from starvation or chock eating a pebble! i dunno what to do! how do i make my turtle eat? also what kind of home do i get for the little guy? dont die on me =[

I had 2 small turtles when I lived in Sweden. When I ran out of turtle food, i usually gave them peas or corn (warm it in a microwave, but not too hot). They ate it too, and they liked it. however, get some turtle food from Pet Smart if you can

I wonder if that fish Basiler knows anything about turtles. I have a turtle in my house too, in its own tank. Looks dirty, but eh, it ain't mine. Turtles won't eat pebbles.
