Old vs. New Music

So basically when you grind, and anyone with a short attention span like me, haha, some of you CAN'T STAND the loop of the MS music. So what do you guys listen to, the old or the new music that's coming up? For me, it's a 100% old stuff. Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, the Gun's n' the Roses, (<--- Bill Cosby voice) Motley Cure, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, Cream, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck... the list goes on and on. So is it the new type of music, like Lady Gaga and all the rap, pop, and whatever, that's taking over our radios and Vh1/MTV hitlist, ------------------------------------------------------------OR--------------------------------------------------------------------- Is it the back old days like Led Zeppelin or Micheal Jackson?

I don't know if any of you guys feel it, but that older stuff really has emotions, everything nowadays is talked and filtered through a computer. Music isn't the same now than it was today, and I'm only a 16 year old, haha.

Classic rock is better than this new "alternative" substance, although 80s alternative is good. I like Boston, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, and pretty much what you like.

Your parents were probably of a generation where they were being bombarded by the church, etc. for "hellish" influences like rock n' roll.

80's metal was, is and will always be the best music IMO.

Old music, like rock and jazz sounded much better than today's music. I like mainstream songs too, but some just sound so fake and streched out from editing. Just keep it simple and rock n roll.

Just like in the past, there are songs now that have emotion in them and others that do not (and are about sex, partying, etc).

Mix of both. Both sides of the spectrum don't appeal to me. One's too boring and one's too obnoxious. So I listen to Muse and Coldplay

[/quote] You can listen though to the emotion when you hear Zeppelin I don't think I've ever heard something more majestic than them, they are 1000x emotions. There is no effort in music nowadays. The industry is just so LAZY!
