Hi I just bought and built my own computer yesterday I have MSI 890 GX motherboard with integrated ATI Radeon 4290 graphics. It is crossfire ready. AMD Phenom II (x2) @ 3.2 GHz not overclocked 4 gigs of gaming 1600 ghz memory I'm running on 550W PSU and windows 7 32 bit I have a seperate ATI Radeon 4350 card (i know it's not greatest but all I can afford right now) I was wondering if I can put that in my PCI express x16 and use crossfire with the integrated and the 4350. Any help is appreciated, experienced users please

I'm not totally sure, but it may. Here's a chart. You may or may not experience a performance boost with Crossfire or SLI, though.

azn011A HD 4350 isn't much of a step up from a Radeon IGP. Using Crossfire on budget low end graphics cards is typically not very worth it, because they're many times weaker than higher end graphics cards in the first place. Not to mention scalability.

My bet is you won't get something of a noticable performance increase, if it works. And as far as I know, you need to have a crossfire link between the two cards, so my bet is it won't work.

BobRThat was my thought too... there would need to be some way to link the addon card to the integrated graphics. On the other hand, why is it advertised as "crossfire ready" then..? Is there anything in the motherboard manual that talks about using this feature? I imagine it's listed on the specs, but there should be something about how to actually use the feature. You might also want to look at the MSI web site support pages and see if there's anything there about it, or in any FAQ lists. They may also have a user forum that's familiar with the features.

http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/motherboards/2040_2.html "Hybrid Crossfire allows the user to install a HD 5450 or HD 4350 card to improve the integrated graphics performance by working together with the integrated graphics chip." I guess you could
