So alot of the far radical conservative fundamental Christians are out in full force again trying to use Pascal's Wager, its better to believe than to disbelieve, to convert someone to Christianity. So how about converting me, a Unitarian Universalist, to become a Christian again. However there are two rules. 1. No Pascal's Wager, because I already believe in a deity. I just believe my interpretation of a deity is more accurate than yours. 2. No Bible. When I was a Catholic six years ago, it was by me reading the bible that made me believe that Christianity was not the best, nor the correct interpretation of a deity. So if you throw bible verses into my face, it will make my Unitarian Universalist faith stronger. Also keep in mind that I am a socially liberal progressive person who rejects conformism and traditionalsim. Now give me your best shot!

I can't force you to change your religion. If you were not fortunate enough to receive God's blessings, then that's too bad.

ObsceneIt would help if you explain your "Unitarian Universalism". (Partly because I'm curious why you consider it superior).

Obscene
MockingBird : So your God plays favorites and neglects other people?
While the first part of your post is subjective and based solely on one person's post, the second part is twisting his words. There are other ways people can be acted upon to receive religion than to be "blessed", how the poster chose to phrase it.

Trying to convert people to another religion violates Rule #5 (Advertising). Report anyone who does it.

Become a Christan and (or at least) learn about Christianity, Jesus's teachings so you can prove the radicals wrong! I really, really don't like radical Christians, so help the cause? :D

Jesus loves you and everyone else on the planet. He came so that we all can go to heaven. We are all, no one is excluded, sinner and so our path is towards hell unless we accept the gift that Jesus has given. Good works don't let you go to heaven. What they do is store up treasures in heaven. You don't need to believe anything right now and you probably won't, but go to a good bible based church in any one these denomination in general, Baptist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian and see.

Orange: I can buy my own candy. Besides, you killed my Horsea, how can I trust you? Hyperstep: Are you sure? I'm giving you the opportunity to give your shot to someone of another religion. Its boring seeing Christians trying to convert Atheists, how about they man up and face a real challenge? CapnLock: We are both on the same boat. But I am pretty confident that they will lose tonight. Naruto: Oh I was more than fortunate enough to receive God's belssings. It was by Unitarian Universalism, not by the radical fundamental views of Christianity. Obsecne: If I were to explain UU and why I have those views, it would lead to a long wall of text that no one would read. If you want more info, look it up. Amigo: Religions are products, they are personal beliefs and opinions. Thus I'm pretty sure its a valid exception Kappo: Being a previous Catholic, I read the Bible page by page. I won't get into too much detail but I am just too much of an analytical person. I do not believe Jesus is God, nor that rose from the dead. It could be possible, but there are other scenarios as to what could have happened. As for the radicals, I could rant about them as much as Al Sharpton rants about race. dracomann07: First, those are all from the Bible, which is violating Rule #2 of this thread, you are failing so hard right now so try again. Second, if moderate Christianity and the Bible made me leave Christianity, what makes you think far right conservative wingnut branches of Christianity would make me go back? The ones you listed are most likely the ones that would have a nasty afterlife, assuming any other religion in this world is correct.

One of the only ways that I could think of would be to debunk your misconceptions of the Bible. This probably couldn't be done without referring to it as a case in point on certain issues. The irony is that you almost seem to be implying by virtue of the condition listed that Christianity could be believed in without any form of Scriptural or Evidence basis, much like UUs. The greater irony yet is your field of study and interest in relation to that belief.

lol This is for the radical Christians and not you, that parabe in the bible the one where Jesus says something like' Dont judge and callout the splinter in your neighbours eye, when you have a log in your own'. Which basically means, dont worry so much about other ppls problems, deal with your own--you arent perfect either. The most you can do is tell someone about god, if they choose to listen so be it, if not, they dont.
