NOTE #1: This thread is long, and I can't put a table of contents unless this becomes a guide! So if you want to skip all the long, boring introductions, then just scroll down until you start seeing the lists! NOTE #2: If you don't see a certain movie on the list, please don't yell at me! It all boils down to personal preference! What you can do is make a post suggesting the movie in question, and I will [re]watch it and consider it! Introduction Hello everyone! I am a big movie fan, and I have seen quite a lot of movies from the past decade (2000-2009). So, my aim with this guide is to give you a way to find amazing, recent movies from a vast majority of genres, as well as to give you a comprehensive list of some great movies from the past decade. Thus, if you ever find yourself doing nothing one day, you could pull up this guide and watch one of these movies. Who knows, you may even like one, and it may not even be in the genre you normally watch! As well, I have designed it as a Top 100 to make it less boring to read. =). So, without further ado, let�s go! Format Each movie listed will include its rank in the list , the title , a link to the trailer , it�s year of release , and its MPAA rating . If you click on the name, it will link you to the trailer for that movie, so you can get an idea of what it�s like before you decide to watch it. The rating is there so that if you happen to watch one of these movies, you won't go and blame me if you were offended by something, because I warned you in advance! Typically for R movies, expect vulgar language or heavy subject matter. The films 100-51 will have a short short summary description from IMDB.com . I repeat, these are not written by me! They will been enclosed in quotation marks and will have a �(IMDB)� beside them! The films 50-1 will have some personal notes written by me (who else? =P) Movies To Consider / I Have Not Seen I will keep a list here of the movies from 2000-2009 that I have not seen that may eventually make it onto the list! Feel free to make a post or PM me if there is a movie that you want me to see , and I will add it to this list. I actually like your list. Most of the movies are really good My personal 5 favourites though (Cliche enough) would be 5. Dark Knight 4. The Watchmen 3. Up 2. Shaun Of The Dead 1. Avatar -James Cameron

Unless I missed it, there was no Avatar in this list, but I did see A Serious Man and The Departed in there, so I declare this a winner, save for it's lack of some indie films.

This is a horrible list, really. No country for old men? God that movie was the boringest thing I've ever seen. Ratatouille? really? The only thing I agreed with was Spirited Away. The other Pirates of the Caribbean should've been high on the list. In all honesty, this is biased, but then again, you can't make an unbiased list of opinions.
