Hello, I don't want to become a hybrid Dk and that's because I think polearms are ugly. Also you can't max the skill Dragon's Blood in 3rd job. So if I don't put my points in Polearm booster/mastery and in Final attack, what should be my build? :O

There is absolutely nothing else to put points in, other then polearm booster and mastery. And who said "I" can't max the skill dragon's blood? If your going pure, you might as well put points into it. I don't know what your trying to accomplish with post, you pretty seem like you have what you want and don't want down. P.S. Your excuse for not wanting to use polearms is the most pathetic i've seen in a while.

I just want to make this clear - you're going to be leveling at about 1/2 to 2/3 the rate you could be, because you feel that polearms don't look nice. If you're alright with that, then hey, whatever turns your crank. As to what to do with your SP; Put them into polearm mastery/booster, and simply never use those skills. Final Attack, as I'm sure you're aware, will only hurt you. Those skills will end up just as point sinks so you can make your third job advancement. And for the record, yes, as a Hybrid, you CAN get Dragon's Blood if you want to; You end up with 8 spare SP at the end of third job (with a hybrid build), and you could draw 12 more out of Elemental Resist if you so chose to max it. It's just not a good idea to do so, because the job Blood does, warrior elixirs do better.

In my opinion, pure spear is a better choice than fury in the long run. Just like how you max HP increase at 1st job before even putting a point in any attacking skill. It can be a little slower, but pole arms are absolutely trash in 4th job. I never find myself even needing a pole arm, except for when I wanna snipe HH for fun, and get no damage, at half the speed. If you max dragon's blood, it stays for life. You can use warrior elixirs on dispelling/1ing bosses, but in other cases, dragon's blood is just so comfortable and easy to use. A never ending source of 12 attack. If you go pure spear, you can almost max power crash too, along with a max dragon's blood and ER, and of course spear fury.

@above Yes that's why I mean , so you guys think if I go pure spear that I have to max polearm mastery/booster or just some first job skills?

I can't wait til BB so we can get rid of this crap. I'm tired of the pure spear fanboys. DB costs more to use than warrior pots if you're soloing, if you can't afford 40k an hour you're doing something wrong anyway. That's also leaving out hex which replaces it completely much further down the road so as long as you're arguing you should skip something that will help you out now because it is useless later (ie fury in 4th) well than look no further than how useless db becomes when you max hex. Spear fury gets maxed as a hybrid, same with ER. Crash IS useless, one extremely limited use (cwk only when you don't have a competent bishop) does not make it a must have. Why slow yourself down in 3rd job training by going pure spear? You may not use it in 4th but that's not why you max it. It's to fly through 3rd job which most people consider a hindrance. We haven't got to the point where every person is getting to 4th job in days yet, for some people it actually is a challenge. Getting through that as fast as they can should be the goal when you're only sacrificing skills that can be replaced. Maxing db over fury is like buying a gun to shoot yourself in the foot with, sure you're gonna think you're stronger but you're gonna run a lot slower. Btw with potential I'll be 1-hitting skeles with a psb here real soon. I'd be kicking myself if I weren't hybrid. Games changing fast, there's no reason not to make yourself as versatile as possible. OT: Save the points and dump them into FA at level 70. You'll be hindered by it for a few levels since crusher sucks til it's almost maxed so you'll be using ps/sb still. Or you can dump them into the PA skills and just not use them. Or my personal favorite, dump them into PA skills, grab a cheap karstan and use lvl1 pa fury until you get crusher up to a decent level. You can also go back and max 1st job skills or whatever, really the points are useless if you aren't using them on the PA skills, nothing you can do that will make a significant difference, which is how hybrid came to be a viable build.

We all have different opinions. I enjoy dragon's blood much more than spear fury, and I don't have beholder hex yet... at level 172. It's going to be a really long while before I max my hex.
