MS not working: automatic minimization

So when i launch Maple Story it starts to load and the screen goes black as it usually does, however as soon as the game actually loads on to the wizet starting animation, the game minimizes itself (to the start bar, not playing in windowed mode). When i click on the minimized icon it opens for about 1 second and then minimizes again, so i cant play. Im running windows 7 64bit if it matters and am on an alienware m11x laptop. Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?

I don't have that problem, the game won't even START for me. When I try to run Maple, it pop up in my Processes then goes away within seconds. I've already uninistalled and reinstalled and still, this. Maybe I have to restart my computer, because I haven't since I reinstalled. Also, maybe you have the wrong compatibility settings.... Put the Cmpatability settings to run on WindowsXP Service Pack 2, and run as administrator.

If you have any Internet browsers open, close them. Close out Windows Firewall too since that also sometimes auto minimizes it. It usually happens to me when I have an internet browser open and downloading something. Idk, that's all the help I can give. Good luck.

i have the same laptop, (m11x) and i get that sometimes just restart it and it should be fine

Ohhh now I know what you're talking about it used to do that to me too. All you do is minimize anything that's open in the background. If that doesn't work, I have no clue.

windows firewall is off, didnt help re starting it didnt work everything else closed, didnt help ill try re-installing it, thanks for trying to help

no, there is something you have to click in compatability. It's got something to do with disabling graphic-y thing

oh! i had that problem, at first i just used alt+enter REALLY quickly before it minimized so it will stay open in window mode, then i found out later that it was my anitvirus causing it, so i turned it off when i opened maple then turned it back on when maple opened up properly without minimizing, not sure if it's the same for you though o.o
