Why is rock n roll dying?

I am probably the only one in my grade (13-15yrs) who listens to original rock n roll. Everyone is talking about *Lady Gaga* and *Justin Bieber* and making fun of ppl for liking rock n roll. I listen from The Beatles to System of a Down and everything in between and i just don't understand how pop/rap is taking over the worlds music. Im not saying Pop/Rap isnt music, as some songs from eminem or few pop artists are OK for me. How did Rap and Pop take over the music world?

Its probably just your environment. Students at my school are very diversed. Different places different tastes, hip-hop/pop is probably just more dominant in you're area.

I'm going to a Rush concert soon. :D
