AP classes and regents question.

Hi guys. i was thinking about something about ap tests. is it requiered to take an ap course and the ap test to get credit on ur transcript that goes to college or can i just take the ap test. i was searching online but couldnt find anything besides info on why people should take ap tests>< anyways i really want to take a few ap's junior year that either i am to late for, cant fit in my schedule, i really wanna take (AP stat, worldhistory, euro and enviromental) also say i dont like my regents graades in certain classes (trig, alebra,, geometry, chem, global and bio.) and i wanna retake the regents, do i have to retake the whole course or can i just pop into the regents and take it at like a summer school or something .? i

There are a lot of people that take the test without the class.

If ya really want to take an AP test, take it lmao you dont need to take the class, just buy a book and study it, take it, pass = WALA! o.o

[/quote] im not really sure but i think AP classes matter when you apply Taking tests i think is just to not take it in college or something who cares!

[/quote] well i am aiming to get credit for my ap tests so it looks good on my transcript. i know i can handle studying for them but i just don't know if i should be taking the course....

Self study AP and get a 5> take AP course and get a 5 If you want the gpa though...then it's a different story. For me, I'm currently studying AP WH, AP bio, and AP Jap on my own because my school sucks and do not offer a lot of AP courses so...

Well if you take the course you will get a boost in your GPA (assuming you do well), which will give you an advantage when applying to a university. Many universities will consider how hard your course load was as well.

[/quote] alright thanks guys. i am thinking of taking ap euro and ap stat as courses (possibly online. anyone know a nice website i can use to register) i know i can do ap world(isnt offered at our school. so i can self-study it and enviromental (personally wasting a whole year of science when i can take ap chem or bio instead would be beneficial so i dont wanna put it in my schedule. so ill just study at home for it. i have heard it is easy). now i need answers for my regents question >< anyone from ny ?

colleges don't care whether you pass the AP test (as in your AP test scores will not in any way affect your admission), but they do look at whether you took the course

Some simply require a 3, some require higher. And I can't imagine that a college would ignore a low score on an AP exam...

I can answer your regents questions- yse, you can take the regents test at any time, and it will count

[/quote] Being in Florida for just 4 months, I started to take classes online, because my school sucks and can't offer a lot of AP courses. I am not sure about AP euro, but I know you can take AP Statistics.
