I was wondering if anyone happened to have a recommendation of what kind of system I would want for decent WoW play. Also, how in the heck do I know what I have? I am 100% certain my computer is crap, I really do not know anything about computers. All I know is that it says this in the system page thing. System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 --------------- then under that it says --------------- Manufactured and supported by: Hewlett-Packard Company Compaq Presario AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3100+ 1.81 GHz, 384MB of RAM I have no idea what any of that means, I am actually a VERY smart person, but I have never really needed to know anything much about computer tech itself besides how to use one. I also have an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card..how good is that? o.o I need to get it to run CS:S.. help?

With that graphics card, it may be playable on lowest settings for WoW. It can run it, but it's a rather low-end graphics card, and I don't think it will do enough justice. The CPU too is low-end and I think just only hits the minimum requirements. 384 MB of RAM is not enough, for smoother gameplay you need 512 MB at minimum. A good system just for WoW can come rather cheap if that's the only game you're going to play on it. What is your budget? What other games do you play or want to play (other than WoW, if you have any)?

I'd have to talk it over with my parents and see if they would even THINK about buying a new computer because they just say "oh you dont need a new computer! yours is fine!" "Oh you jsut want it for this ONE game? thats stupid!" ..kinda hard to reason for them. I guess it would have to be decently cheap. I don't really do much besides use word, things like facebook and basilmarket, and play a few games. The games I would be playing would be WoW, Maplestory, Counterstrike: Source...That's really it as of right now. I'm sure some other games might come up eventually...but tbats basically it.
