| efore buying the graphics card I wanted, I made sure to check that it was compatible with my computer... which it is not. Thankfully, that saved me a wad of cash and a bunch of time. However, I'm in a new dilemma as now I'm not sure what graphics card will run well with my computer while being a decent card. I'm currently running this: Dell Inspiron 530S (Slim) Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53 GHz 2.53 GHz Memory: 3.00 GB 32-bit Operating System The problem is that because it's a slim case, my graphics card options are limited. I'm also unsure about its wattage so I don't know what will run smoothly. I've done a bit of research and low profile cards seem to be the only things that work with it. So far I've gathered that the following are recommended low profile cards: - 9800 GT - 9600 GT - NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT - 4850 - Sapphire Radeon HD 4650 - ATi 4630 - 8800 GT - 8600 GT Bookmarked two cards, they looked promising http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162030&Tpk=Galaxy%2096GFF6HVDCXX%20GeForce%209600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102829&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3463938&SID= Any suggestions and thoughts you have that would be helpful are appreciated! Thanks! :D |
