Heard Remote Hack Is Back

Hey basiler D: So today, I recently bought s nice item, which costed me a ton D: So I was in ch2 fm1, randomly saying B>69+ATK RED CRAVEN, and luckily this dude traded me, forgot his name, but he's a lv120 NL. Then he showed me a 68atk hammed caster, so I was like nice, etc. He wanted to sell it for 550, since he said he's quitting. So then I tell him to cc15, or 9, I forgot. So then I tell my friend to log on, sinceI don't have mesos on my current character. As my friend got on, this lv9 dude, his ign is Dramaticai, came in, I was like wth. Then I asked the NL if it was his friend, then he said he didn't know him, I then got a bit worried. Asked him nicely to leave, "Hey dude, can you leave?"(not nice enough but ya) Then he didn't do anything, he stood there. The NL opened the shop, the caster was for 675, then I bargained the price down to 620m. So he reopened the store, while I was telling the lv9 to leave. Didn't work, then the shop was open, 621, told my friend to buy it. Then I traded my friend for the casters. Yay! Right after that, my friend logs off, the NL ccs, and the Dramaticaii(lv9 dude) ccs. So then I got more worried. I then went cpq with my friends, yadeeyada. I log on my merchant, and notice a convo about remote hack. Then I ask my guildy what's going on, and he said remote hack is back... Great... Before I noted the convo, I chatted a guildy, and then ya, noticed the r.h. convo, then asked him if remote hack is really back(another guildy, not the same one as the convo starter). So then he tells me he doesn't know what it is, I explained it to him, saying how someone tells you to cc, CS, or MTS, and you get d/ced, you are likely to get hacked. Then he told me that happened to his friend 3 days ago... So now I'm extremely worried. The guildy that started talking about this is YourPolearm, and he said that Broa and Scania is affected, but I'm still worried because of what happened with the Casters trade. Can someone please tell me if it's back or not?

Level 9 characters aren't allowed in the FM. You need to be Level 10 to enter the FM.

The first poster was correct. At the moment, the Remote Hack has been patched in GMS. I'm not saying it's impossible for the hack to be back though. It used to be , you had to connect to the channel server. You also needed the character ID. Once you have their ID, they need to change channels for this to work. When their character changes channels, you would send the victim's ID to the server. As soon as the victim "sends" their ID to the server once they reconnect in a different channel, they would be disconnected because the server would be thinking you logged in twice. Once that occurs, you have complete control over their account. Don't worry though, I don't think it's going to be back in GMS anyways unless somebody smart figures out a new way, it's been patched though as people have said above.

it's real hard for another mapler to get your ip considering you connect to the maple server and they connect to the maple server, ie there's no direct connection between the players, so only the server knows the ip addresses

these new ads are annoying! they're covering some of the thread -_- OT: I don't think it's back, but who else finds using hacks a very big fail ... I mean cheaters and scammers fail at life ... hackers fail at a simple game 0_o ... that's some sad s*** if you ask me @above, with the helm you're wearing, your comment is just hilarious

lol i get scared whenever i try and log on and sometimes it says this acc is already logged in etc etc. i shut down MS then run it again and it just turns out it was a small glitch. a couple times however i did cc and i got into the map and 5 seconds later id d/c, however this happened when the guild chat, bl chat and storage wasnt working so im assuming it was due to part of that glitch. OT: i honestly think it was patched but like Shadowmage72 said unless someone figures out another way to do it then i wouldnt worry about it.
