Some Questions About Merchanting

So... I am poor, and want to try out merchanting. I have read guides, but I've been left with many questions (and hopefully someone will answer them. :D), such as... 1. What are some good things to merchant with? 2. Could anyone give me any tips on the actual process of negotiation when merchanting? 3. How many mesos would be a good amount to start merchanting with? 4. How the heck do I get a decent fm spot? 5. How much nx would be a good amount to start MTS merchanting with (if any is necessary)? 6. How is MTS merchanting possible with those ludicrous taxes? 7. With the knowledge that the MTS is one thing across all worlds, what items would be good to MTS merch with in Bellocan (in other words, what items are cheap in Bellocan compared to other worlds?)? 8. Assuming the 1:10 nx to meso ratio, which method of merchanting starts faster, and which is faster when you're rich? Thanks to anyone that answers even one of my questions! Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

At fisrt I meched Clean WG. I bought leathers for 2k ea, while I also bought clean WG's for 75k. Took the leathers to Kerning and made more WG's. Sold em all in a fm store for 150k ea

Could you point out any guides to me involving MTS merchanting? Also, anything that's not at least several million mesos above average offends people, so Bunny's guide doesn't really help with that... re-reading the guide now. Not particularly helpful. EDIT: Also, Bunny's MTS section is greatly outdated. @above, thanks for the help, but I'm not that poor... I'd just like to have more than a few mil for a change (don't be fooled by the zhelm, I got a lucky chaos drop before deflation, got a zhelm, and being a noob, blew the rest of the money).

1. Scrolls. 2. I usually try to make a 500k profit on items under 10 mil. Start out with cheap, and easy to get / sell items and them move your way up. 3. You can technically start with nothing, but its very hard to merch with nothing. I suggest you have about 20 mil, AND, you have either a store permit, or a mushi store. 4. You get lucky :P or you can buy one for up to like 4 mil depending on the spot. 5. ALOT. If you aren't funded with mesos, and you wanna MTS merchant, it's very hard and you probably wanna buy two 25k nx cards to start out. 6. Once again, when I'm using MTS I wanna try to make at least a 500 nx profit from anything I buy / sell. 7. Scrolls. 8. I suggest getting as many mesos as possible before trying to MTS merch.

get 50 phantom seeds, do the phantom quest, buy icies from the npc for 2k ea, resell them at kpq for 40k ea

@mindspaz, Thanks a lot! that should really help me out. But... if I ever get the money to MTS merch, which would be faster? and @maplepro, yeah... I fail at that. Plus, I need mastery books for my evan, so it's hard not to use the nx for that. On my first day with that, I actually got a decent % of my offers approved (5 gamecoins offers in a row! after that, not even one out of ~20 gamecoins offers have been approved), and got 7 gachapon tickets. The only non-crap I got were a 30% shield att and 30% glove att. I got a tree branch nose, but untradable, so... yeah fml.

[/quote] Mesos is always the fastest and best way to merch And grats on branch nose! I've been gaching for a while and the best items I've gotten so far are chairs and more chairs :/

I'll have to pass on the gratz for branch nose. Untradable, gives str, and is on my i/l wizard. Will it be worth anything if platinum scissors of karma come out in GMS?
