Can't launch MS from site or icon

This morning, I tried to launch MapleStory, but as soon as I clicked on the icon, nothing happened at all. So I tried launching it from the website and once again, nothing happened. I tried rebooting my computer, tried again from the icon and website and still nothing happened. So I uninstalled MapleStory, re-installed it and still nothing happened. So once again I rebooted and blah blah blah same story. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Go to your Nexon game folder and try the gamelauncher.exe

Heya Jason =D Have you tried looking in the Nexon folder, then double-clicking GameLauncher? instead of Maplestory.exe or whatever

I tried a few things in that thread, alas, nothing worked. I also noticed that everyone else having this problem was also running windows 7... EDIT: After try a few more things, it works! I'm not sure what it was, but I unchecked compatibility mode and Run as Admin and I launched from the site using IE not Firefox like I was using before.

OK i fixed it. Right click game launcher, then go to properties, uncheck the compatbility, then check the box saying run this only for admins, then click apply. then start it up as normal. tell me if it works.

Mine was also fixed when I unchecked compatibility mode and Run as Admin. Before that I had reinstalled 2 times, updated DirectX, updated my video card driver, and turned off DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Not sure if it was just the compatibility mode thing or a combination of all or some of these things.

@above it was the compatibility thing not because u did all the other stuff and u wasted a lota time installing and reinstallin it
