Hi there. I was playing leaf green today, and not wanting to use my master ball, I stuck with ultra balls. It took me 53 to catch a very VERY low HP Articuno, 20 to catch Zapdos, and 64 to catch Moltres. Someone shoot me. Now, tell me YOUR experiences with catching legendary pokemon. :D

Oh lordy, that's quite a spell of bad luck. ): I just started playing my FireRed recently.. I caught all the legendary things already, never had any troubles with them. I think I used paralyzing/sleep attacks or something.. don't recall which, it's been a while. And I used the master ball on Suicune because it's a flake that keeps running off. T_T

Squirtle --> Raikou Bulbasaur --> Entei Everytime you move to a diff place (like route 3 --> route 4, for example), the dog pokemon will move. If you encounter it once you can track it, but it's difficult to locate because it moves around hella. For me it was random/unexpected, so I bagged it when I had the chance. 8D

If I use 10 ultra balls and still can't catch it, I use a pokeball. For some reason pokeballs always work....

Or do I have to meet it first and THEN track it?

Legendary pokemon are suppose to be a challenge to capture. In a pokemons point of view, how would you like it if someone chucked countless amounts of colorful spheres at you that trap you within chamber only 4~5 inches wide?

I'm actually going to have to get a few materballs from my hacked FireRed version to transfer to my SoulSilver because of the running pokemon. Apparently Mean Look only stops a pokemon from escaping for ONE TURN now. Meaning I use it, they can't escape. I switch to my main so he doesnt' 1HKO Gastly, he uses stomp or some some fire move (Entai here). I throw a ultraball, he pops out and runs away. What? entai and Raiku are down to about 10 hp or less. I can put 'em to sleep and they still run away. They don't wiggle in the ball more than once, and I haven't even touched Latios yet. Still need Groudon. Will transfer Kyogre from FireRed to SoulSilver, but still legitly catch Rayquaza. Also, it took me FOREVER to get Aritcuno/Moltres. Thankfully I only had to soft reset once for Zapdos when it ran out of moves and killed itself with the rage attack they use when out of PP on all moves. Suicune wasn't too much of a problem, but he pissed me off quite a few times. Lugia was same as Suicune, and Ho-Oh was the same as Zapdos.

one time i took ho'oh out on a date and she didn't even pay any of the bill at dinner. i thought that was a tell-tale sign but i decided to man up and give her a chance. we started going steady and i started buying her nice things (cars, clothes, ect) then she left me and now that ho'oh me money

[/quote] Are you sure your Ghastly isn't dying/switching out after the mean look? Try using a wobbufett, it has Shadow Tag so once you've weakened a pokemon enough you can keep them in with Shadow Tag.
