As you can probably tell from the title, I'm one of the Arans who've reached the point where they have to decide, which out of these skills will I max? The dilema is, I can only max out 2 of the 3. So, I thought I'll ask the basil community on the ones which they think are worth maxing, or if I should go on a totally weird build. WARNING: Wall of text ahead. I did not intend for this, but things just kinda came out like it. Introducing the skills As you probably read above, there are 3 skills that I want to max, and I can only max out two. Here I will give brief descriptions of the skill. If you want to skip the wall of text, this is the only reading required. Combo Drain: A move which basically recovers your HP. The recovery rate depends on how much you hit. It needs 30 combo to be used. Body Pressure: A move which allows you to tackle the monster, hitting it by touch damage. It also can cast a debuff on the monster, making it give no touch damage. Final Charge: A move which allows you to push back mobs. Can only be used after Triple Swing. More Information Final Charge Now, most guides I've read will say "Obviously kick Final Charge, because it suxorz, and you will never run into mobs consisting of more than ten monsters." However, I have found this not to be the case. When I'm pushing back mobs in a high spawn place (FoG or Mp3), there is almost always a monster that stays behind. This is because I usually rack up mobs consisting of more than 10 monsters. Final charge, right now, can only push back 10 monsters. When maxed, it can push back 12, and that means that my combo smash should connect easier with it. Also, it is an Aran's only rush skill (excluding whirlwind/rolling spin), so I thought I better make the most of it. The damage is also increased. Level 21 Final Charge (Mine right now): MP - 18, 72% damage, attacks up to 10 monsters. Level 30 Final Charge (Maxed): MP - 20, 90% damage, attacks up to 12 monsters. Combo Drain Combo Drain is the one most guides will tell you to max. Basically, once you hit 30 combo, you have the choice to use this or Combo Smash. Combo Drain is an active buff that recovers your HP depending on the amount of damage you dish out. At my skill level (11), it recovers 3% of my damage as HP. When maxed, it recovers 5% of my damage as HP. At first I thought, pfft, two percent, but when I went to my damage range, my average damage is 852 (Not very good, I know). 2% basically means 18 HP. That's just my normal damage. When you add in mobbing and Combo Smash, that makes it pretty good. Also, its good for Dojo, where I can't heal with pots. The time is also increased. Level 11 Combo Drain (Mine right now): For 84 seconds, will recover 3% of damage dished out as HP Level 20 Combo Drain (Maxed): For 120 seconds, will recover 5% of damage dished out as HP Body Pressure Body Pressure is the other one that most guides will tell you to max. It is an active buff that allows you to hit touch damage on a monster. It also casts a

I maxed Combo Drain and Body Pressure. I don't often find really large mobs of 10+ so I left Final Charge at 21, where it hits 10 monsters. Later in my third job when I max Combo Penril and Final Cross, I'll max out Final Charge because Rolling Spin is damn useless.

Final Charge is used to mob, normally when u train u attack from 1 to 6 mobs, final atk at level 1 attacks 5 monsters, which maxin it would be useless

Combo Drain and Body Pressure maxed, Final Charge to 21. Body pressure combined with Drain will pretty much guarantee you full life 99% of the time at monsters that don't have magic attacks. But since you're an aran we mob and stay in the mob anyways so the magic attacks poses little problem in most cases. Charge is later maxed in 3rd job anyways when you have extra points to spare since Rolling Spin is useless because it works just like Final Charge EXCEPT that it has a probability of working. That means it can fail. For 2nd job, Drain and Pressure are maxed to save money and pots while charge is left at 21 since you'll rarely fight mobs of more than 10 so why pass up maxing drain or body pressure?

10 monsters is enough for charge IMO, but think what do you like the most. I maxed body pressure & drain with mine, so that they last the same.

there is absolutely no reason not to max combo drain. I didn't max body pressure or final charge i just put 2 more points in to booster not only is combo drain so useful when its maxed, u'll have to recast it very often if you don't which means less time spent with a high combo and u wont be able to use skills like penril nearly as often.

Final Charge is useful, but the difference between lv21 Final Charge and Maxed Final Charge isn't too much. It's on a very rare occasion that you actually are pushing the max amount of monsters final charge can push. With the combination of maxed body pressure and maxed combo drain you won't be needing to use HP Pots at all (when you do enough damage that is). In third job there is a near useless skill called rolling spin and since it's useless it's recommended (at the end of 3rd job) to go and max final charge.

lets put it simple. Combo Drain: recovers HP. Body Pressure: No touch damage. Combo + BP = save pots and money either way. at the end of 3rd job. all second job skills will be maxed, but body pressure and drain are the most helpful.

Well, you could do this, get Body Pressure to 17 (maxed success rate), putting 3 more on Final Charge, racking up 1 more monster? (De-Buff duration shouldn't matter.. you should be able to kill the monster before the De-Buff ends anyway) And obviously max Drain, its percentage helps into the higher levels.

Everything but final charge. You can still get it to the point of hitting 10, which is plenty. Arans dont really actually rush much TBH. Pressure is pretty win, and drain is hands down one of my favorite skills we get. You'll have spare points from third as well to put into charge too if it's really bugging you. Also, people could learn a lot from you, OP, in regards to how to make a good thread and ask a question. Lots of info and background given.
