| depends on funding. 0-200mil = u wont even be able to buy a DDS 200-500mil = a DDS and a HT Pendant, so maybe 30 base luck 500-1bil = a DDS, HT Pendant, and a sweet luck shield with other stuff, so maybe 10-20 base luck 1bil-2bil = maybe 10 base luck if u balance it out well 2bil+ : u can be lukless and wield a DDS there is NO point in making a i/l that can wield a DDS; u can do far more dmg wearing a lukless elewand3/4 or elewand7/8, which give 25% boost to either your ice or lightning attack. A elewand is also much cheaper. only make a lowluk if ur making a priest/bishop Mages cost anywhere from 0 meso to 1000 bil For now: go lukless. u can revert to lukful anytime, and unfunded lukless>funded lowluk/full luk from lv 0-120, or for f/p or i/l, 0-200 |

| You don't need a doomsday staff o-o buy an ele wand 3 instead, they're pretty cheap and boost your ice damage by 25% and thunder damage by 10%. I would also restart and go lukless whilst you can. |

| Warning: Lots of Text Below. Total Magic of Shine Wand/Wisdom Staff: 81 Total Magic of Doomsday Staff: 118 Effective Magic = Total Magic - Effective LUK Effective LUK = (Luk Requirement - 4 - Bonus LUK), if Effective LUK < 0, then Effective LUK = 0 Effective Magic of Shine Wand/Wisdom Staff = 81 Effective Magic of Doomsday Staff = 118 - (80 - 4 - Bonus LUK needed to equip) = 118 - (76 - Bonus LUK needed to equip) = 42 + Bonus LUK needed to equip Difference in Effective Magic: 81 - (42 + Bonus LUK needed to equip) = 39 - Bonus LUK needed to equip Therefore, it'll be better to use a Doomsday Staff, if you have at least 39 Bonus LUK. Remember, that there's only one area where it's better to scroll for LUK rather than INT (mainly due to the M.Atk that comes with INT scrolls, and also the lack of options for LUK) and that's the Overall. (Belts and Helms are usually Chaos-ed if you want more LUK). An average Targa Helm (LUK) should give 17 LUK, coupled with a 20 LUK Bathrobe and a Deputy Star or Horntail Pendant should give quite a lot of what you need. |

| @ 1st post The advice is bad/off and doesn't make sense.
AbyssShadow : Warning: Lots of Text Below.
O_O;; I am rather confused as to what the math explains exactly... If what I understand is correct, then this post is wrong. You have to account for cost of items when doing any kind of accurate comparison between different stat builds. Ot: With only 250mil, you are much better off being Lukless. I advise to restart as a Lukless and make sure you get the Marbas helm. To be an efficient Low Luk DDS user, you must have HTP, Zhelm, and Black Belt. Your base Luk should not exceed 38. For Low Luk to be better than Lukless, you would need many(3+) billions in funding. The less funding you have, the better off you are being Lukless. |

| Um basically, what I said it what you just said. Your base Luk should be less than or equal to 39. (not including Maple Warrior) He asked where he could cap, and I answered that xd. I never included cost anywhere into the equation in case you didn't notice, but most people will probably have 4 Base Luk, 1-2 Luk from their Medal, 5 Luk Deputy Star, 15 Luk Zhelm. That's only about about a third of what you need, and that's the cheapest part. :/ The very last part of what I said is that you'd basically lose out damage by scrolling for LUK instead of Int/M.Atk on pieces of equipment. Earrings (Int/Matk vs. Luk), Gloves (Int/Matk vs. Chaos?), Helm (Int vs. Chaos), etc. On a side note: This is what I do on my Cleric, go the Luk-less path and scroll all my gear for HP. 1265 HP at level 37 is quite nice xd.. and by the time you can go to Dreamy Ghosts / Himes, you won't have to rely on a DK. |
Okay... This post makes sense to me and seems correct. I am unsure of the last part since Hp gear isn't exactly easy to get and is very much uncommon. But the conclusion about using DDS being better is still unclear to me and still seems to be wrong since there hasn't been any clarification on that part... Or how you came to that conclusion. XD Ot: Just go Lukless. |

| ^ Oh, I see why my conclusion is messed up, I meant at least 39 Luk from Bonus Equips xd, basically, "setting" the equation to 0, 39 - x = 0, x = 39. So, if you're subtracting from 80 Luk, 80 - 39 = 41. Maximum of 41 Luk. (Probably less after Maple Warrior, 41 / 1.05 = 39) Btw, Thanks for pointing it out.. don't think I'd notice if no one said anything. XD |

| If you're going to make an ice AM either go lukless or normal luk, there isnt really a point in making a low luk i/l. If you wanted my opinion on which to go, I'd say lukless. |

Seeing as that it is just me and you in this thread atm.....yea. Edit: gtbROX ninja'd me. T_T So you are saying Lukless DDS user is better than Lukless Shine/Wisdom user? Right? If that is what you are saying, then I have no arguments against since I have yet to do any accurate comparisons between the two builds for Lukless. |
