| I'm getting a new computer, I've already reserved one for tomorrow. I'm going to be picking it up tomorrow at Future Shop. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dm=DEBUG&sku_id=0665000FS10117822&catid= I've seen many threads on people saying they need to set a few things for they're able to play MapleStory since Vista apparently messes everything up. So yeah, I'm one of those people. How can I fix my computer to be able to play MapleStory? I have Vista. Also, seeing how I have a great new computer, I'm willing to stretch to 3D games, I'm into RPG. I was thinking about Lord of the Rings Conquest. Any Suggestions? EDIT: August 22nd. I`ve picked up my computer and everything. I`m downloading Maplestory as I speak. But I ask myself, and everyone who reads this. Why the hell does it still take 4-5 hours to download it. My specs are Windows Vista, Home Premium AMD Phenom X38550 triple-core processor 3GB of RAM 320 GB of space ATI Radeon HD 3200 Intergrated I don`t know much about the processor stuff, but I know a lot to understand most things for computers. Triple Core sounds fast. But it`s just as fast as my 2000 Dell that`s been customed. o_o |

| Lols. Vista is fine and it works fine with Maple. But you MAY disconnect when you Zak/HT. That computer you posted seems fine. The only thing is that the graphics might be a problem when playing more demanding games. |

| um. that computer specs suck. especially amd, go for a intel with quad. or you can build your own rig which is a lot better. (if you want to build your rig message me and i'll link you some good parts) newegg.com |

(if you want to build your rig message me and i'll link you some good parts) newegg.com o-o. Whats wrong with AMD. AMD and Intel are both good equally. Some just perform better than others. [Edit] The graphics is probably the only thing that sucks. |

 | There is no problem with AMD. Last time I checked, bias does not affect the performance of a processor. That will run MapleStory PERFECTLY, but not for some 3D games. The graphics card is a tad on the weak side, so I suggest you look for one with a better graphics card. |

| amd likes to overheat alot more than intel. |

 | No they don't. And desktop processors don't overheat unless you neglected cleaning the fans for a year or two. Laptop processors are an entirely different story. |

| shoto1699 : amd likes to overheat alot more than intel. That might be true, however the Cost to Use ratio is much better for AMD then intel. Intel may be a better quality, but in terms of speed it is equal, and rather extremely overpriced compared to AMD. |

| Lol. Well. I had an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ from 2004-2008 and it tend to overheat due to a cheapo heatsink and a fan that didn't work properly half of the time. Lols. Other than that the processor was performing great. Takes about 20seconds for it to load up to the desktop. (: My AMD Athlon XP 2800+ (2.08Ghz): 20seconds to load up to desktop My Cousins Intel Pentium 4 (3.00Ghz): 5Minutes to load up to desktop His computer was better than mine in terms of Graphics, Ram, HDD, etc. But mine was faster (: |

| but you see if you build a rig yourself, you'll be more secured and instead of using vista get windows 7. its better to get intel even though its pricey but you will find yourself good deals on newegg. and you'll get a faster computer with good specs good enough to play most games on high ex. team fortress 2 edit: also you won't be able to upgrade your cpu or fan if you buy a desktop that has been premade by a company. your wasting money on a crappy computer that has crappy specs. |

True... Intel is rather easier to upgrade than AMD because AMD keeps making different sockets whereas Intel has stuck to the the same sockets (e.g. LGA 775). :x |

| does that matter if your stuck to the same sockets? no. and fusion about your comment about how your computer is faster than your cousins. theirs always a reason behind that and thats probably because you had less programs then him, or you had a tweaked xp that you torrented. edit: also if you build your own you can probably get it at around 600-800 for a decent comp with an awesome graphics card. its cheaper, safer, secured, and upgradeable |

No. I had more programs than him. He just reformatted his computer. I had no tweaking software, no nothing because I didn't know how to use them back then. My AMD's Specs: AMD Athlon XP 2800+ @ 2.1Ghz Biostar K7 Motherboard Integrated VIA Graphics 32MB 480MB of RAM 120GB HDD My Cousins Intel Specs: Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.00Ghz Gigabyte P4 Titan Motherboard ATi Radeon 9250 128MB 511MB of RAM 160GB HDD |
