Yep Its 1.6Ghz. Click on the specifications tab and it will say: Processor: AMD Athlon. Processor Speed: 1.6Ghz.

That's actually really good for $300, because there's no other normal laptop at that price.

Acer is pretty good. o-o. My auntie had an Acer laptop from 2003 and its in great condition. It works fine although its kinda fat and ugly :P.

AMD single core clocks @ 1.66ghz 512 kb cache. i dont think thats worth getting. If ur gonna get a laptop that low end, ull probably be better off getting a netbook for that much. obviosuly its gonna be less performance capable but i mean, that laptop really isnt worth dumping 300 bucks into. it barely good enough to run maple. i prolly woudnt buy that if it were $150 honestly

Acer are basically really cheap laptops, not very good quality whatsoever, they're basically just like gateway -_- I bought an Asus with 2.0 Ghz duo core processor, 4GB of Ram, 64bit vista, Nvidia GeForce 9300M for $400 slightly used at my work, and it runs like new, if I were you I'd look around before you decide on that laptop, look for used if you know what to look for in a laptop and how to check everything on it, but make sure you can actually manhandle it before you buy it used of course And any computer can be in good condition after 6 years of use if you know how to take care of it and don't abuse it

That laptop only has a wireless-B+G adapter installed in it for wi-fi, so if you have a wireless-n router, you will not get optimum speeds.

basically the only good thing about Acer is that they are cheap, they are basically an equivalent to Gateway EDIT: I didn't even realize it, but that Acer isn't even a Duo Core LOL, that thing is going to be so slow if its running Vista

This laptop, IMO is very good because it's the price of a netbook, yet the processor is stronger. ++The person above me said gateway things are cheap and low quality. I've been using my Gateway computer for about 5 years now..and it's still very fast.

It'll be fine for maplestory and basic computing tasks... Don't expect any heavy gaming.

Wait, I didn't recognize it wasn't Dual Core. As the dude above posted that it isn't Dual Core and it will be having problems with Vista, I recommend that you pay a little bit more for a laptop with a Dual Core processor.
