What I really wonder is why fire AM have to get an ice based summon and ice AM have to get a fire based summon while they get their respective elemental attacks during the first 3 jobs. By Definition "Cooler" it got to be Elquines.

eswarrr : By Definition "Cooler" it got to be Elquines. I c what u did thar. On-topic, I think both look equally cool. I like the chains and demon-ish look of Ifrit, but Elquines has "wings" and is symmetrical. (Yes, I like symmetry.) As an I/L AM, I'd rather want Ifrit for functionality though. Having a fire-based summon really helps at places like the regret area of ToT.

Ifrit looks more badarse, but Elquines is more useful to me.
