Okay so how do you actually know how much accuracy a mage has, im sure its no dif but for a priest. The normal accuracy stat that applies to other classes, i think is BS since a mage with like 72 accuracy cannot hit horntail, yet they still do... So what else factors in for their accuracy or tells us what it is. Thanks

We have our own Accuracy calculator... These threads are everywhere try find em!

Mages don't really "use" that accuracy.

I believe every 10 int = 1 "magic accuracy" same goes for luk, but I'm not sure. I use this to find out what I need to know, if you play with the numbers abit, it looks as what I said above is correct.

Yeah we don't use that accuracy like the others said. For example, my damage doesn't get affected when I am hit by Harps (monsters that lowers accuracy).

Acc due to the formula having too many variables. @TS: We use Magic Accuracy, also known as M. Acc, here is an interesting experiment on it (also read pages 3 ~ 6 posts). You can also find the formula there. Also, nekonecat's calculator is good, but it's off by a bit.

Accuracy stat on its own counts for physical attacks. 72 Accuracy means you can't smack HT with your staff/wand. idk how to calculate Magic Accuracy though.
BBD 08/15/09 + PM | QUOTE | PERMALINK | REPORT
1 INT = 1 Magic 1 INT = 1 M.Def 1 INT = 1 Magic Acc.

Or at least to him you are. Looking at the magic accuracy formula, the only time INT and LUK actually play a factor is at the beginning, which mentions trunc(INT/10) + trunc(LUK/10). Therefore, 10 INT adds some amount of magic accuracy (as well as 10 LUK); it is just unsure as to whether or not it adds one accuracy as a whole.

BBD : 1 INT = 1 Magic 1 INT = 1 M.Def 1 INT =/= 1 Magic Acc. Fixed it for you! kirbyhyper : What you believe is wrong, so that's why he said you are wrong. Or at least to him you are. The Magical Accuracy formula according to Thikket and Nekoncat from sleepywood is Trunc(int/10)+Trunc(luk/10) if for instance we consider ones int is 10 and luk is 4 then by formula the persons magical accuracy will be =Trunc(10/10)+trunc(4/10) =1. So 10 int adds 1 magical accuracy is correct. Use the calculator and plug in values to see this yourself 10 int and 10 luk adds 2 m.acc, 20 int and 10 luk adds 3 m.acc so on and so forth.

I also think it's worth mentioning that darkness doesn't affect mages at all because it affects Physical Acc., and we use m.acc.

THINGv1 : great explanation. I also think it's worth mentioning that darkness doesn't affect mages at all because it affects Physical Acc., and we use m.acc. Well, I wrote a whole guide on this subject a month back. But it died. Yes, State of darkness has no effect on a magicians accuracy.
