int adds magic attack. if you have 200 int, that means yuou have 200 magic attack before equips. staffs upgrade by 5 magic attack every 10 levels, (eg, the level 55 staff has 47 matk, and the level 65 has 53 matk). So do wands. In order for a regular luk mage to equip these staffs they must sacrifice 10 points of int (these go into luk) every ten levels to equip the staff/wand. they lose 10 matk, and gain 5. So for each 10 levels, lukless gets a 5 matk advantage over regular luk, even without upgrading their equips. To make up for this deficiency, each overall would have to add 5 more int than the last one did, so the level 100 overall would need to add a total of 50 int clean. scrolling does not matter, because anything a reg luk can scroll, a lukless can scroll equivalently. therefore, lukless starts with an advantage, and only gains more advantage. Face it, they are stronger, even without funding proof that funding barely matters said: "let's suppose that a level 110 regular luk mage is using a 145/12 dragon staff, a 27 int 3 luk red bazura, a zhelm, and a 2/12 puac. they will have a total of 668 matk. A lukless at that level with a clean nocturnal staff (dirt poor, obtained through quest) and otherwise clean equips would have 608 matk. the regular luk's insane funding has gained him an advantage of only 60 matk on someone who spent absolutely no money at all on their character. with equal funding the lukless would have considerably more matk than the regular luk."

lol, so what was the point of this thread? I think everyone who has ever tried making a mage knows that lukless>luk. I don't think you needed to make a thread saying that.

I wish one of these threads that prove that lukless are better would be stickied on the mage forum page to stop all this ranting on reg luk and lukless. But I bet even then, people would still nag about it. I'm not bashing on the TS btw.

Since luk is not in the magical damage formula, and with the new ele wands being lukless, I think it's safe to say that lukless are stronger then luk mages

actually, i did not know this. EDIT: I meant the actual math behind why LUKless is better. I already knew that LUKless is better.
