I'm on Window's Vista, unforunatly. Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 1.80 GHz Ram: 1.00 GB 32-bit ATI Radeon Xpress 1150(Graphic Card or so I think, I don't really know much a bout computer) Would I survive lag at Zakum? Are there anything like closing some programs that will help prevent lag?

with 1 GB of ram and on vista, it would lag quite a lot. make sure that you have vista SP1 downloaded if you dont have that installed on your comp. if you dont have SP1, there is a higher chance of dc due to an error.

You could make it. Make sure your computer isn't doing anything else. That is to say, close any messaging programs, close Firefox/IE, halt and downloads, any music programs, etc.

Well, to make it short, try this. Apparently, it works, even though I never had to do it. xD Ryu72 said: "if its lag then is just your specs, upgrade if its the common glitch in zakum with vista follow this process 1.go in zakum's altar with high quality , continue this until arms have died 2. when zakum goes into 1st body (making it attackable) lower quality one notch 3. when zakum goes into 2nd do the same just 1 notch 4. now zakum is about to go into 3rd this is where most dc/lagg, just as its about to die alt+tab for around 2-3 seconds (rely on auto-hp/bishop) 5. once returning from alt+tab lower quality to lowest setting, now you shouldnt dc. if you do its because of your spec or connection or even a hackshield error but dont run other programs and this shouldnt occur. Good luck."

the biggest lag creators and zak killers on vista are: Windows Media Player/Media Center Windows Sidebar (PLEASE TURN THIS OFF IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO, it will cause considerable lag.) Any IM program Firefox/IE/Opera/Safari Oh, and godforsaken iTunes With only 1GB of RAM and Vista, I highly suggest you upgrade to 2GBs, you will notice a substantial difference in other programs' speeds too. Run Disk Cleanup, then the defragger. A sidenote on the defragging, there is a program out on the internet called Defraggler and it is the best thing that ever happened to defragging. It does a much better job than the Windows utility.

I don't know if this is legal to use with Maplestory buy I use Gamebooster. Turns off everything I don't lag with high quality.

Lowering quality will not do a thing, trust me, i've tried... Just buy a new pc or something... All lowering quality does is blur that useless background... |

Try to get 2Gbs of RAM. It doesn't seem like much, but it helps in the game.
