If a NL or Shadower uses Taunt on a boss, do the party members get a boost as well?

Yeah, they do. Well, lets say the NL/Shad used it on a normal monster like say a newtie. Would the other party members get a exp boost?

I think so. It increases the exp the monster gives, so everyone should get a boost in exp from that 1 monster. But it won't work on a boss.

K ty. So NL's have a supportive Money (Meso up) and Exp (Taunt) skill. That's pretty nice =P

NL's don't really use Taunt to train, since it slows them down a lot. Shadowers, on the other hand use Taunt to train and helps with the EXP they get per hour by a lot.

The slowing down depends on the player though. If a NL already kills monsters in very few hits, it gets tricky, but a weaker NL can surely use the exp boost since the Taunt animation takes up a smaller portion of their KO time vs that of a faster killing NL. But for sure, Taunt is trickier to use as a NL (especially with Venom, since we take off bits of monster HP really, really fast, it's easy to go a bit overboard, have Venom reduce monster HP to 1 and Taunt killing it, making it all go to waste). But there's also the +40% drop rate which can be nice even if your exp isn't at its full potential. xD |
