Do corsairs need to HP wash - BasilMarket Forum

Well I've seen other threads asking the same question, but it never really gets answered all everyone says is Pirates have higher base hp than archers or thief's. So I'm just looking for a straight up answer do Corsairs need to hp wash to get into HT runs or other bosses?

Nobody NEEDS to HP wash. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that any class will eventually be able to fight any boss currently in GMS. It just depends on how early you wanna go to what bosses.

^What he said, which in this case, the wants exceed the needs since a lot of people would rather boss at 14x rather than 18x.

Corsairs do have naturally higher HP than other ranged attackers, but it's not so high that it eliminates the need to HP wash. Most bosses can be fought by Ranged Attackers without washing at a reasonable level except for Horntail and Pink Bean, but unless you want to Horntail at 18x - 19x or never fight pink bean, I'm pretty sure you have to wash, even as a Corsair. What I'm hearing is that Pink Bean requires 8.1k HP after Hyperbody to survive assuming ranged attackers only attack it from the backside while it's KBed. Otherwise, you will get hit for 12,000+ damage with the Reverse Genesis Attack.

I didn't wash for awhile, i did a blood build for 3 levels and i was fine 0_O' 15 points in to hp does wonders for a corsair. After i hit level 130 i got a few gifts >< and used it to wash some of the points, not all. something like 5 points back into dex? Although having over 4k hp at level 130+ is nice =D especially when fighting in cwkpq where if i didn't add points into my hp i would die even with hb. Now i can finally fight the warrior (with hb of course since he does 6k+ damage xP) don't worry about washing, just put 5-10 points into your hp and it'll help a lot. I had an archer friend who washed a lot more points and just barely caught up with me. Also got to remember that we get a bit more hp per point. lol

Also got to remember that we get a bit more hp per point. lol" Yeah, I mean if you're really that concerned about the whole bossing early thing, I'd just add points to HP, because the 15 some odd bucks it costs for 5 washes (I think around 100 HP) multiplied by the amount of times you'd need to do it in order to fight [insert boss name here] just isn't worth it to me. But it's your money, so do what you want.

I haven't added a single point into HP. 41xx HP at level 143, and I can survive every boss in the game except HT. If I never wash or add points into HP I'll be able to survive it around level 170. Washing is not required.

If you want to Horntail or Pink Bean you will have to Hp wash (assuming that your not going to play your Corsair until like 17x/18x when you'd have enough HP naturally). You never HAVE to HP wash, it just allows you to boss sooner, so if you want to do it sooner, then yes you should HP wash.

i think it was 26hp per sp 0_O' .... i don't remember anymore lol and yeah, the amount of money to wash points isn't really worth it. I only did it cause it was a gift i wasn't really expecting to get too far with my corsair since during the summer i don't have a decent internet connection all the time and can't train. I only use my corsair for helping my guild with boss runs, and having under 4k hp kinda sucks... especially for things like cwkpq. ooh and pap too anyways these guys are right ^ you don't have to wash, it's not a necessity and it kinda gets in the way if you ever get 1/1-ed while you're on your ship (which you never should unless you're stunned)

i wouldn't, bloodbuilding is a much better way of getting HP. The NX you saved can go to getting a really good dragon revolver (through MTS), 10-15 dex can easily be made up for by 2-3 extra attack at those levels.

I think u need like 8k hp base+hb for pink bean's 12k atk I dont think a corsair can reach that even at lv 200 D:

It's 18 ~ 20 HP per SP and you don't need 8k base to survive Pink Bean. Ranged aren't meant to take a hit from the Reverse Genesis Attack, from what I can gather, new strategies in KMS focus on keeping Bean's back to the ranged players so they don't get hit with the 12k genesis. I think you need something like 8.1 - 9k HP or so after Hyperbody.
