| Okay After watching some videos of some F/P mages and some I/L mages and battle mages and clerics I Am SOLD to the I/L Mages lol watching that lvl 163 I/L mage cause havok was a thing of beauty lol I see why people make mages, I use to think they were boring classes but i am forever changed lol. So I'm looking for two things. Tips (not from a guide), but from experienced I/L Mages and Anyone willing to show me the I/L Mage ropes (like how to use certain skills/when/where etc etc) |

| it's true, if youre not funded then your attacks are pretty meh damage wise. Also, if youre thinking of CPQ with lightning, don't. Roms and Robos are lightning strong. Aaaand its not a tip, but its just something you should know i guess? they need to be in or over a mob to attack with lightning / ice strike so they tend to take a lot of damage. oh and 50 or 60 to around 80 are pretty slow leveling. |

| F/P are one of the fastest leveling classes in the game. This is because they have posion (breath? can't be too sure on the name) maxed out at level 40 and then they can go to jesters. 1350 exp per kill is very godly for a level 40. Because of this, F/P will have a easy level up for 40-around 60. Also, at 3rd job, they get the poison mist. When poison mist is maxed out, they can go to skeles. This is usually around level 80. My friends that train at skeles usually get 2 levels a day due to the fact that skeles supply a great amount of exp. However, I find my I/L mage more enjoyable than F/P mages (no offense to any F/P mages out there) |

|
Leeway46 : What makes F/P > I/L
Nothing really. I/L pwnd F/P back in the old days and it still does. F/P gets fast lvling at 2nd and 3rd job, but really. those lvls aren't quite hard for an I/L either. 4th job I/L gets a much easier lvling compared to F/P because their ultimates can freeze. F/P will consume pots like mad. Also, f/p ewands are like 2-3 times as expensive as i/l ones. Skillbooks for paralyze 20/30 are rare like hell, while CL 20/30 drop like water. I host GPQ and found 5 cl30 already. Not a single paralyze 30. And CL>para big time as CL can mob. Bottomline: don't make F/P. |

Use mobbing in groups of 3 or more (ice strike or thunderbolt), always telecast to avoid hp loss, and freeze when you think you need to. Thats all it takes to being a good il (pretty much). |
