Why don't kids in high school do their work?

Do they not understand that your grades in high school determine what college you go to? And in turn, the college you go to determines the quality of your degree? And from the quality of your degree you're limited to your jobs? Your whole life is practically decided in high school. y dey so dum?

Cause some are lazy, Some dont do the Homework cause they think its cool, Some dont know they have homework cause they dont listen, Some Forget, And some just dont do the homework because they have the choice not to. *EDIT: Some are Careless, they think its not really THAT important.

No. They dont realise these things. But i also maintain that, in the current climate regarding work, whats the point in gaining a degree and getting into mountains of debt when there isnt a job to go into at the end of it? There are too many graduates and not enough jobs to go around.

Thank god in the UK i can participate in any college course i like without grades making a difference as long as i pay the course fee.

because not all well paid jobs even require a degree. most people like that are the restless types that would not be suited for a university i myself am completing an apprenticeship and when fully qualified will be earning 120k+ a year your life does not revolve around high school marks or if you can get into a prestigious college or uni, opportunities are everywhere if your willing to work

I don't believe in grades. Because grades are an important part in getting into college, I think many people focus too much on grades rather than getting something meaningful out of what they learn.

some teachers don't care about hw and will still give a student a good grade some students don't care because they have senioritis why does this bother you?
