How can people not care about their looks?

Honestly, how can anyone walk out of their house not caring how they look? If your hair is too long and messy, then get a haircut. If your clothes are dirty and fading, then buy new clothes! A perfect example is my brother, he doesn't care about how he looks. My mom still has to dress him because he doesn't find clothes interesting enough to decide on his own style! I don't understand how anyone who are at least 13 cannot care about their looks. =/

Either turn away or donate money so they can have spiffy new clothes. Not everyone can afford new clothes. There is no excuse for parading like an unwashed raccoon but if the clothes aren't dirty and are just "old", then who cares?

I dont care about looks. I care about hygiene, I stay clean, and keep my clothing clean. I also take care to keep my clothing in good shape, but as long as tears or holes dont interfere with the function of the clothing, doesn't bother me. I only have one pair of pants that are not yet torn out at the knee, though if the tear gets bad enough, I throw them away, as they no longer fit or move properly. Besides that, I have little fashion sense or care. My hair is long, so I just keep it tied back, though like I said, I keep it clean, and I brush it when necessary. I shave when I feel like it, or have reason to. so yeah, I dont really care about looks.

I'm sure your parents buy you those new clothes you want. I have to pay for all of my stuff with my part time, nearly minimum wage job and my paycheck certainly isn't going to a fancy new shirt when the one I have is slightly faded.

Some people, like my brother, HAS MONEY to buy clothing. He justs prefers to waste it on video games. And seeing my mom still dressing him, picking out clothes for him, is truly a facepalm moment.

[/quote] Actually, your assumption is wrong. I have a part time job, and I tend to buy everything I want now (clothes, games, ipods, school supplies, etc.) Eeveepony - He's 16.
