not at all, sure they have one attack that gets better every job but they are much more party oriented. they aren't like arans.

I disagree with it for the most part, since it is a party mage really. The main similarity is that it hits a combo of times, just like an aran. each job adv you get a new addition to those combo blows. however, it brings monsters close, and aran gets close to monsters, so nothing alike.
