my paladins sword

so as big bang is around the corner, and as paladins get a HUGE advantage with 1handed over 2handed weapons, i want to convert to a 1handed sword. my dialema is that i have a 160 att nibleheim and as 1h are generally harder to scroll, what stat 1h sword/shield would i need to match my 2h in terms of dpm?

viaje round of applause ppl what he did was simply amazing o.o lol seriously I would've never gone that far The swords pretty good and pretty much if you want something to compare to that sexy 2h sword to kind of make up for it you'll have to get a vip shield as well, I can't really get in depth as viaje did sorry but I think they said you can get like 9%-12% stats on the vip stuff soooooo good luck mate!

[/quote] my next investment is a VIP warrior shield. i just have to pay off my debts then start saving to buy and potential one until i get a 3 lined one. im not too fussed about my sword being only 2 lined as long as i get 3 lines on my shield. then i need to invest heavily until i get boss damage on my sword and some decent % str on the shield >_>

Currently, in GMS, it's a 3-line VIP with 30% boss damage, 9% damage, 9% damage. Critical might be better though, now that I think about it (even after Big Bang). Would have to do the math. I'd wait till Vega at least though, so that you can pull a 90% chance. I haven't seen a 50% <weapon specific> scroll in forever, but I'd imagine 1Hs will be hella expensive. As it is, the additional %-STR from the shield is multiplied by the total STR, which is wrong because that total STR includes his other %-STR. So instead of... 1.32 * (4 * STR) * ATT / 100 = 1.2 * (4 * (STR + STR * x)) * (ATT + y) / 100 ...the initial formula should have been... 1.32 * (4 * (baseSTR + baseSTR * %STR) * ATT / 100 = 1.2 * (4 * (baseSTR + baseSTR * (%STR + x))) * (ATT + y) / 100 Of course, this would have made the simplification a little more difficult, so I haven't gone back to correct it yet. foxracer - Thank ya much!

there is a thread about new even more game breaking scrolls... apparently going to drop the price of 50's a lot (7 att with 100% chance of working) you might wanna check that thread out... it's pointless for me, i know i won't be able to afford them when they are released (i don't think it was mentioned in the thread). it might help you make a 1h sword better than your nibber though.

[/quote] 0.o What's the thread? One of my brothers has mentioned some "ultimate" Chaos Scroll or something. Wonder if they're the same. Hopefully they aren't too hard to get, otherwise, even with Big Bang, Maple is getting preposterous. I understand that there will always be better equipment, but damn.

There are 7 atk scrolls that only work on special level 70 weapons, in another version... no reason to believe they would come to GMS working on everything.

I found that thread, but I couldn't read anything nor did I find a translation. Nevertheless, since the content is in CMS (China), there's absolutely zero reason to believe we would get them even if they were for any item.
