Well if this is only practice, I'm dreading the real thing. I couldn't understand most of the words in the critical reading section, and they didn't really give enough time to finish all the questions, one moment I'm trying to solve a problem, then the proctor tells us to go to the next section, and we aren't allowed to work on the other sections anymore. Have any of you taken the actual SATs? Anything you could suggest? Edit: I'm a sophomore right now.

What grade are you in? I'm in 11th and i thought it was a piece of cake...the SAT's aren't that bad, just twice as long basically

I just took PSAT's too! :D I thought the math sections were extremely easy. The other parts were alright.

Pick up the pace. You're probably spending too much time on each question. I found it easier to pick out the wrong answers, instead of trying to pick out the correct answer right off the bat.

I'm a Junior, 11th grade, and I took it this week, the PSAT that is. I found it surprisingly easy this year, unlike the last 2 years. I'm really looking forward to getting it back.

I took it too, I'm in 9th grade. First reading - Didn't finish in time, but I went back during 3rd session :p First Math - EASY 2nd Reading - Easy 2nd Math - Easy Vocab - Skipped a couple..

I agree with lawlerskates. Try justifying why something is wrong instead of right, it lets you look at it from a different perspective c: Also, a tip that I found REALLY helpful was to go straight to the questions in the CR section, look for the line numbers in each question, and underline them (or put brackets around them). Then when I get to a line, read it carefully and answer the question associated with that line. It saved me a lot of time.

For me it was like this (sophomore too). Reading 1: I couldnt see the clock and the dumb proctor didnt give us warnings....So basically, I was on question 20 and he said "put your pencils down". Yeah this part was kinda hard >.<. Math 1: Extremely easy Reading 2: Quite easy. Not nearly as hard as the first one. Math 2: Pretty easy. I felt it was a bit harder than the first one. [I'm 99% sure i got all the math questions right] Writing: Surprisingly extremely easy. Definitely easier than the practice test ones.
