Moving out at 18

Back in high school so many kids were talking about how they wanted to move out as soon as they graduated. I think thats just ridiculous. I understand that parents can be overbearing and controlling but they pay for most of the things you own, with obvious exceptions of course. We had this discussion in my college spanish class because my teacher said it was weird that so many kids try so hard to move out at 18 when in Mexico, they stay with their families basically till they get married. Do you plan on moving out at 18? and I mean move out as become completely independent. Going to college doesn't count as moving out unless you know for sure that you are never going to live with your parents again.

If I can; Yes. My parent's don't provide for me much ATM, other than shelter (A bed in my uncles room?) There is never anything to eat in my house, they don't buy me cloth etc. I usually eat at my uncle's house cause they're nice. I had a job and bought myself a guitar but they can mad if I practice so I haven't progressed as much as I've liked. Maybe I'll find me a roommate; It'd be better than living like thius....

I go to school in my city and I stay at home. Saves money and since my parents are at work like 10+ hours a day it doesnt really make any difference from if I was living alone. Im 22 btw

and people in Mexico don't stay with there families till marriage... They move out; whenever they want too... Well women do; My Dad moved out at 16; my Mom at 19?

My friends used to say that just to sound edgy and cool and I'd be like psh free roof I ain't moving out like you fools But I actually did for a month though while everyone didn't lol not on college dorms my friend and I shared cheap apartment but she wanted to get married and I couldn't pay for room all by myself also around that time doctor trips increased shrink kept pushing for my parents to get me to live with them just in case so I ended up coming back home. It was the best days of my life.

I wouldn't mind living with my parents after I get my bachelors degree until I can get a steady job. They don't bother me and I keep to myself.
