I legitimately hate my mom's prayer friends.

Every few or so days, my mom's old prayer friends come over for a group prayer for me (I had some serious health problems that cleared up a while ago). They are EXTREMELY loud and take up to 10 minutes per prayer going from person to person until every1 is finished. Now, I don't mind them praying for me, but do they really have to come over to the house? What's the difference at church? What's even worse is that they start and finish with a hymn that almost seems cult-like (Don't troll me about how all religions are cults). I swear, I would become an atheist in a heartbeat if I have to put up with this every freaking week. /endrant On another note, my mom asked me if they could come over to my room. I said to take it outside in the living room. She still nagged me to let them cover over to my room. I said no about 10 times. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENS? They come over to my room. I swear, she is the worst listener ever. What's the point of asking me if you were going to do it anyway? Edit: "consider becoming an atheist"

At least you dont have awkward "Home Groups." Yea, i went there. Every Thursday night (oh God... its Thursday), 6-10 people come from Church over to our house to pray, read, watch TV even... I cannot go to the bathroom from 7:30-10 pm because of them -_-. If I go upstairs, they all hear the last 3 three creaky steps in our house, and then all stare at me with a "oh what the heck do you think YOU'RE doing?" yea... fun times.

No matter what - if you say 'no' to them, they just do it anyway. I would assume that your mother would accept your wishes and not pray in your room, but I don't know what goes on in her mind. If you want to, talk to her (no yelling) and explain that you do not want them to pray in your room and if you could accept my response as it is and not go by my back and do things I specifically told you not to do. It's not much, but it may help.

[/quote] The reason is that there were probably a group of professional doctors that knew what they were doing, or his body managed to cure itself. I really hate how when a religious person over comes a hard sickness, and instead of thanking all of the Doctors and other people that busted their asses off for him to get better, he thanks Jesus or some God. I'm not trying to offend Christians and I'm not saying they don't exist, maybe there is a higher power, but many people forget that you can't count on a religion to do everything for, you have to do most of the things yourself, and not sit there and wait for god to help you.
