Why not go str-less?

So I will be making a wild hunter and I have a very good last unwelcome guest xbow. I know that str-less bowmen are the most useless ...-less classes, but does it really matter? Like, it won't hurt my damage to be str-less will it? Because I really just want to spend less money on weapons by only having to buy maple xbows. Thanks! PS: I'm new to bowmen and sorry for the wall of text.

Sir, that is not a wall of text. That's a speed bump. But to answer your question anyway, if you have a good endgame STRless bow, you have no reason not to go STRless.

people say they fail because instead of dex equips they have to use STR equips in order to equip bows but with a statless bow you should be ok with str-less more dex for mw and % equips =p

That's the point of them. The reason why they are thought to be pointless is because you do not get as much damage from Dex. The Dex benefit is not ass great as it is with a Dex-less Assassin because Luk does more for them.

DEX is not a great component for damage... that's why there's not a lot of STRless. DEX is one of the weakest damage stat and it doesn't help a lot.

I don't see why people would go reg str or even low str for that matter. (Aside from perhaps the complete lack of funding) The maple/aliens can keep up with regular bows. Not everyone can afford a VIP bow, but the last uw one is only 6 atk lower than a reverse.

Before the alien weapons came out, the str-less bows were usually not very good as end game weapons, compared to what else was out there. The added dex didn't make up enough to be stronger. However, with the statless vistor weapons, it is possible to have an end game weapon and be strless. Now the only question of strless or low str is do you have the funding to afford an end-game vistor weapon. VIP weapons will probably be better than any other weapon, as long as you can afford it, meaning that people may even convert to strless from low str to maximize their total dex.

But now it's fine to go STRless because you can use the visitor bows/xbows. And potential is fine because archers do not need STR to wear their higher level overalls and shoes.

O.O I thought bowmen and xbowmen (including WH) depended on DEX more. I'm not sure if your just thinking of Warriors and your class PERM beginners but I was PRETTY sure that DEX was more important than STR. I thought it was just for equipping stuff. Someone correct me if im wrong LOL
