Fame, do you care?

Well fame really doesn't matter much in this game after you had reached twenty fame to wear some of your armor. You're rewarded with fame when you do quest or good deeds I guess; however some people use fame as some kind of weapon, thinking it'll somehow do something to you by dropping it, but in reality it really doesn't do anything. My question is do you care about your fame? I honestly don't care about my fame, but it really annoys me when people think they "win" by mass defaming you. Like a few minutes ago, on my account in Kradia, some dude closed his shop, so I jumped in opened my shop, and he threated to mass defame me. He lowered my fame three times. I don't really care about my fame, but I can't help but feel like I "lost". :/

as long as i have more than 20 to wear "dark" equipments, i am satisfied. the more fame, the harder it is to lose that privilege.

I only need 20 fame. Above would just be more and more unessessscary pizzazz. Which I don't mind, hence my 500 fame in game.

I care about fame.. got 371 now.. its not alot but i must say i never bought fame, mostly earned. There was this one time i got famed by diego, i was soo happyy.. aah the days.

I don't really care about fame. But more fame helps you look more reliable and less likely to scam :D

[/quote] Yeah the assassin on my BasilID, I quit like three years ago. A good portion of his 18X fame was earned by helping others, though a lot of it was earned through trading fame. I have almost 300 fame and most of it is from quests and faming myself with mules while transfering note that my character is just about 3.5 months old

I honestly don't care about fame, as long as I can wear my equips. And I had the same thing happening to me. A guy closed his shop, and I took the spot - I didn't really need it, just took it so I could take a little break. And this guy got pretty mad because I took it, and without even asking for it back nicely, he just started saying all kind of sheet about how stupid it was of me for taking the spot. And he literally defamed me 15-20 times... Funny thing is, I would've given him the spot if he had asked for it back nicely - instead of threatening me. I just ended up keeping the spot even longer cause I didn't want him to get it back.
