Why is it impossible to find a Gray Yeti?

I'm doing the Mushroom Kingdom PQ with my Level 33 Hunter and my friend on her 35 Blaze Wizard. I had no trouble doing this PQ and finding the Gray Yeti with my Dual Blade, Spearman, Fighter, Evan, Bandit, and I/L Mage. Yet I've entered the PQ 50 times (Trust me, I've kept count) and it always repeats just like this : White, White, White, White, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, White, White, White, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, White, White, White, etc. This is really annoying -.- Anyone else have this stupid issue?

I've found it on the first PQ twice before. And I've gone through 67 PQs (not a made up number, we ran in and out for exactly 67 times until we got it) before I got one once. I honestly think it's on purpose. The grey is undeniably the rarest of the three by FAR.

Try getting a partner that just wants to find the grey yeti. You can both leave the pq if it's yellow or white.

It took me like 10000000 tries to get the color i needed but the fast way is to exit through the door without killing the yeti. Then enter again. Keep doing this til you get the color you want

I've done the pq on 3 of my characters but I still don't really get why you need the different colors... is it because the gray yeti has a higher drop rate for equips in the boxes?

louise709xu Grey gives weapon boxes OT: On my dit, I got the colours white, grey and yellow in 3 goes so it only took me 3 pqs to finish the quest.

When I did this for my XBOW, they all came in order.. White, Gray then Gold. Done. =)
