I don't believe you can. I don't believe time even exists, it's only a concept. If it was able to be invented, some crazy things would happen, probably would have some people from the future come.
Dude2847 : so is "electricity", and we've learned to manipulate that pretty well.
But electricity is actually tangible, you can get shocked and you'll have an electric charge running up your body or something But time, we can measure it, clocks etc.. but we can't actually see it, meh

LimusocoBobo
tiganior1 : Not true. The future has technology I am not allowed to disclose.
Assuming you're from the future, when you came back to the past, how've you enjoyed avoiding your past self? Also, what happens when you kill your past self? Would you just disappear? o.o

No, making a time machine would mean your turning the solar system and everything moves backwards. Would this even cause repeat in events? I don't think so. I think it would just cause us to remain exactly where we are now but several days before.
LimusocoBobo : The future hasn't happened yet so it doesn't exist. It makes no sense to go somewhere (somewhen? o.O) that doesn't exist yet like the future. Too many paradoxes.
This basically. The same thing exists with going to the past. The past doesn't exist anymore. Plus, there's the problem of two of you occupying different space. Dude2847 Interesting article. But, did he actually go into the future, or was his perception of time vastly accelerated because of the speed at which he was travelling?
LimusocoBobo : Assuming you're from the future, when you came back to the past, how've you enjoyed avoiding your past self? Also, what happens when you kill your past self? Would you just disappear? o.o
My looks are entirely different from the 'me' of now. Therefore, it is easy to hide. I once went back in time to my birth, and implanted a tracking chip; so I know where 'I' am all the time. It shows myself and the 'me' of the time period. If I was to kill my past self, I would cease to exist. However I keep a vigilant eye and protect myself, always. From birth.
RoadRoster : We can see into the past. Travel billions of light years away from earth, then view earth via super powerful telescope so you can see the ground and its inhabitants. Since you're viewing earth from a couple billion light years away, you're seeing earth like it was billions of years ago. A light year is how long it would take to get from point a to point b by traveling in the speed of light in a year. And since light takes billions of years to get to the spot you are viewing earth from, you can see everything that happened on earth billions of years ago.
only if u can get that far within that billions of years, but that is impossible since we do not know how to go faster than the speed of light

It already exists, but the shock of going into the past leaves its travelers in a disoriented state. Time travelers who were once brilliant scientists in the future often stumble out of their destroyed ships feeling jittery and confused, and having nowhere to go. For days they wander like this, their clothes growing filthier by the hour, until finally they are hit by a moment of clarity; jumping at the chance, the now filthy scientist tells the nearest passerby that he is from the future. That is all it takes to land the scientist in a padded cell. There is a legion of time travelers behind bars.

The second time travel exists is the second that time travelling backwards to that point is possible and it also means that at the second that time travelling exists, every technology man could ever create would be available for use.
