Shadower Steam group in Broa?

So I had this idea of a Shadower steam-group, obviously for Broa. This will be able to be used for organizing boss runs(including non-all shad runs, recruiting seduce mules for HT) I haven't thought of a name yet, I'll do that once I have a good amount of votes. Requires: Steam A shadower (If you're not a shadower, it would be helpful to put NS in your name, which stands for non-shadower) Set Maplestory to your game library so everyone will know when you're online playing maplestory. Put a set of three numbers in your name, for example, 139, if you're a shadower. Your Steam name would look like EnterTextHere139 If this becomes successful, then yes, we will be doing boss runs. People will be paid for the most part. I will try to get apples out to the higher levels. This is only a draft, and I'm not yet recruiting for this group. Please add your ideas and your insight to this idea. Hence, why I didn't put this in the listings. If any of you didn't know, Steam is a popular online-game provider which allows you to chat with other friends, etc etc. If I were to successfully start this group, my name would be Sheepkilla130. Also, if you're a shadower from another server, then please do start a group for that server. If that ever happens then I will combine the two servers into one thread. Looking forward to the Big Bang patch ^_^, boss runs with taking no damage. Smaller bosses like Papulatus , Pianus, and several others will be included. In your name, put whatever boss you need to do/ want to do For example, SheepKilla130ZK, in which ZK stands for zakum. Pianus would be SheepKilla130PI Targa would be Sheepkilla130TG The reason Steam is better than a guild is because, you don't have to leave the guild you're already in. The limit for a guild is 100 while a steam group isn't You'll be able to tell when other people are active on their computer Secondly, Skype would be nice. For example, let's say we have 3 parties of shadowers fighting Zakum. Let's assume this is Post BB. Skype would be used to order out when to use smokescreen or that weird new star skill, if it works. This will allow people to not need to type anything. Of course, this can be considered overdoing it, but I really don't care. Lastly, who will record these epic Post BB boss runs? I will, because I have a computer that can do that without lag, I wouldn't want other people to need to lag. But of course, you can record runs whenever you want.

I can make a group right now for all servers actually. I can't expect to have many shadowers from Broa yet, so starting it up for other servers would be pretty nice. I'll be assigning moderators to other servers. Remo you should be the moderator for Scania since you seem like a decent person :D EDIT: Created the steam group. So it's kind of like a guild except it's outside of Maple? I don't know, it seems like MSN and Skype are already efficient enough.

It's a bit different though. Steam lets me monitor who is currently playing Maplestory. I'll manage to do it somehow.. That's one of the biggest reasons why Steam is superior to Skype and MSN. I'm able to tell when people are away so I know who is available for a boss run. I'm able to schedule events easily that will allow other people to easily see it. However, I'm not saying that I won't be using Skype. I can't expect everyone to have a headset, which is why Steam would be easier. On the steam group page, there's a chat room. In that place my group will easily be able to talk to each other and ask questions. Here I can launch the voice chat and give orders to the boss run. Or even have nice chit-chat. Why don't you just join and see what happens :]

I don't know if there's something wrong with my Steam client, but I only get an "in-game : MapleStory" message when I first start up the game. When I click "start game" Steam doesn't register me as playing anymore.

I'm going to have to find a way around that by giving you guys a seperate.exe to run when we're about to do a major boss run ex. Zakum or Scarlion. For now knowing that the person is online is good enough for me. Or.. I can tell everyone online to enter the group chat. We'll just have to see. And long time no see Mudkipz.
