I just found a Summoning Rock; can anyone tell me what it's used for?

Summoning rocks aren't all that uncommon; besides monster drops, you can make them yourself with the Alchemist NPCs in Sleepywood and...El Nath? I can't recall. Apparently you can also buy them for 5k each from an NPC after finishing his quest. All this means there's very little reason to hold onto one until you hit level 70; your best bet is to sell it for around 5,000 mesos to a 3rd jobber.
