Pokemon black difficulty

Well i've been playing pokemon black and is it just me or is it harder than the other versions? I like this, I even like how they have a completely new pokedex with no old pokemon in the region. What do you think?

That cat pokemon (dark type) could barely take out the 1st gym leaders leaf monkey, had to do a few sand attacks in order to avoid its attacks or else I would have died in two shots.

I haven't gotten very far in it (Just got my first badge) so I can't say for sure, but so far I haven't felt any significant increases or decreases in difficulty. It does feel like they've tweaked a few staples though, and the freshness is somewhat amusing.

[/quote] correct me if I am wrong, its been quite some time since I have played pokemon. But isn't grass super effective on dark types/grass types are resistant to dark type attacks.
