What do instrument do you play? How long? What kind of music do you like? What kind of music do you play? Have you played any of the MS songs? I've played guitar for 5 years, and I'm learning to play piano too since this year I like almost all kind of music, but mainly Rock, Reggae and Cool Jazz I play Rock and Funk I've played Ellinia's theme in piano and I'm writing a transcription for guitar.

All you master guitarists in this thread, how do I start to play my guitar, it's been lying around for almost 2 years, and I still suck horrendously on it. And piano gods, how do I read rythym? I understand the concepts of it and all, but just applying it screws me over.

[/quote] well, i'm not a master guitarrist, but I hope I can help. u got 6 strings, they're counted from down to up (i mean, the thiner and lower string is the 1st string) each string has a note: 6th E 5th A 4th D 3rd G 2nd B 1st E now, each fret is a semi-tone (e.g. if you put your finger in the 1st string's 1st fret it's F; if you put it in 3rd fret, it's G; etc.) if you know something about harmony you can build your own chords. anyways, there are some preset positions, look for guitar lessons on Google, you may find thousand of web pages if you don't know anything about harmony, i suggest you http://www.teoria.com/ , there you can also learn to read music

I've been a pianist for 9 years. I've been a horn player for 4 years. I like a variety of music, from Classical all the way to Rock. I play Classical and modern music. I actually tried playing the Perion theme on horn a few years ago...

I've played piano for 8 years and cello for 5 years. I've quit both. I played mostly classical music, but did try and sight read the pop songs or whatever mainstream music I enjoy hearing.
