An Educated Guess on Big Bang Release Date

| So far, everyone has just spewed out random dates for the Big Bang, but I have a few guesses with some reasoning behind them. The holidays are approaching fast, and other updates have to be worked around the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas events. They also have to follow begin September 29 or later, when the Alien Event ends. The dates for these events, taken from the relative times last year, are as following: October 20 - November 24: Halloween Event November 10 - December 8: Thanksgiving Event December 8 - December 31: Christmas Event Begins Based on this, here are the possibilities: 1. The Big Bang can come out between the Alien Event and the Halloween Even, on the days September 29, October 6, and October 13. Then, the Hob King PQ and Dual Race PQ can be released sometime between the release of the Thanksgiving Event and the Christmas Event. Not very likely if you ask me, because why would Nexon put the Hob King and Dual Race PQ data in the wizet files before the Big Bang data, but then release the Big Bang before the PQ�s? 2. The Dual Race and Hob King PQ can come out between the Alien Event and the Halloween Event. This is likely, because the data for it is already in the wizet files. Then, the three parts of the Big Bang can be released on November 17, November 24, and December 1, during the Halloween and Thanksgiving Event. 3. The Dual Race PQ and the Hob King PQ could be released any time between these events between October and December. Then, in January, the Big Bang could be released. A very relaxed schedule, which goes against the recent updates Nexon has implemented, and their promise to catch up to KMS by the end of 2010. So, those are my guesses. What do you guys think? |

| The fact that the BB patch was announced makes it more likely to be released before the PQs. Nexon wouldn't announce something that'll "shake Maple World to it's core", then wait two and a half months+ to release it. EDIT: It seems that there are two announcements now, counting the Maple Times. I'm guessing it'll be directly after the Alien Event, or the patch afterwards at the latest. |

Did Nexon make a mistake by adding the PQ data before the Big Bang data, or did Nexon screw up by announcing an event 2 or 3 months early. |

[/quote] IIRC, there were quite a few bits of data that were put into the wiz files a long while before their release. (or non-release. Maroon Mop, anyone?) I'm assuming by the Dev Blog that the PQs were a backup plan, just in case there were delays in getting the BB patch compatable with GMS. |

I never looked at the PQ's that way, as a back up plan, but it makes since. Also, GMS tends to try to bring large game-changing content, like new areas, before things like party quests. |
