I gave my brother answers to his homework.

How on god's good green earth did I even do this? I didn't tell him all the answers just immediately, I told him how to do it in the problem. It brought his grades up AND increased his chances of learning. So my 13-year old brother, Isaiah , really needed my help to get himself back on his feet in school. So he talked to me through this chatting website. His grades, he told me through the site, were D (66), C (75), D (68), D (62), and C (71). I felt really bad for him because I didn't want him to be yelled at by my parents and how he was doing in school. So he gave me all his subjects, and I gave him all the answers to the problems of which he was being asked to do in class, and in his homework. I helped him in every subject he gave me... 10 DAYS LATER: His grades were B (83), A (91), A (94), B (86), and B (84). I could tell by his major improvement in all his subjects that I helped him out a lot. But how on earth did I bring his grades up by 17, 16, 26, 24, and 13 points? Do you think I gave him a little too much help? Do you think I just give him a college, now that he knows how to do everything in the Eighth grade? Now that he's sure he knows what to do in his freshman year? How did I do this? I am asking you because I want to know your opinions on his grade improvements. EDIT: I think I just gave him grades that are good enough for a college, even though this is eighth grade because he says he's sure he knows what to do in high school, and high school matters. EDIT 2: Did they seriously just rename my thread?

All you did was set him up for failure. Whenever you're not there to help him, for example, on a test, he will not know what to do.
