Things I Need to play xbox live?

Well im looking foward to play xbox live on the 360. I already have a Modem and Router. Im also gonna buy a 12month xbox live card. What else do I need to connect to xbox live? And do i need to sign up somewhere to play? thanks!

An Ethernet cable. You pretty much do all the signing up on the xbox.

[/quote] Send another ethernet cable into your room, and have that one go to your console. The computer has nothing to do with it. It is your modem and/or router. Alternatively, does the xbox have a wireless function? I know the PS3 does, but the xbox is known for lacking so it may not.

You may need a wireless adapter (unless you have 360s) so you can connect to live unless you have a long enough ethernet cord to reach your xbox to your router without tripping anyone or if you have a TV in your living room, move your xbox to the living room. EDIT: A mic would be nice to talk to people, but it really isn't an essential item.

Unless you do it for the sole purpose of jumping on the bandwagon. the xbox lives and feeds off bandwagoners, which is why they're raising their price. Who's to complain? They will still do the same they've always done. It's one of those games that people play JUST because their friends play it or because they heard that everyone plays it. Put this all together and start a chain reaction; You get a vastly overrated game. But for your xbox purposes, do what you will. Most people on the 360 play FPS's online after they get owned on the PC and go play xbox. Therefore, you will find a very large amount of people in such groups as: -7 year old kids playing rated M games online and spamming the mic -People who start swearing on the mic if you kill them once -Complainers who make an explination or accusation every time you kill them using their mic (ex. omg spawn killed wtf) -People like the ones in counterstrike who just blow into the mic or play low quality music in the background for the purpose of annoying people -People who will make an assumption of you, then base it as a fact with which to verbally assault you in every way they can. Perhaps for no reason. -20 guys spamming the mic asking for a girl's number if she comes into a game.
