why must people be so rude?

I was at balrog....minding my own business while listening to music. Some people thought i was afk cause i was just sitting there for about 5 minutes, and they say "look at this noob lol, fp wizards suck ass." another commented "clerics are even better than these (insert the word that can be used as a substitute for homosexual that starts with a "G") r-tards. After an hour of watching family guy, i came back and turned on my music and looked to see several people at rog and though 'hey! maybe i can get a run this time.' i had half a party, then all of a sudden i keep hearing: "chkk, chkk, chkk, chkk, chkk, chkk." someone kept droping and picking up wooden mallets over and over, and it was bothering me during my music. The reason i keep that volume up is because i was killed afk by a summoning sack cause i couldn't hear the monsters that were also killing the noobs at kerning pq for those that were going to yell at me for that. Anyway, i very politely asked him to stop, and i get this response: "shut the hell up you noob fizard." why? what's the point of being so rude when i asked so nice? Other instances is me killing voodoos and a db just come in and ks until i'm forced to leave, or someone just saying something ignorant as i walk/teleport by. What's the point of trying to hurt someone's feelings on a GAME. You're not special because you like to make people feel bad...it only makes you look more idiotic. Anyone else share this problem of those who think they are too "pro" for anyone to talk to them?

they're rude because they know you cant go over there and kick their asses if this happened in school or in the streets or something, then they would shut up if i held grudges, i'd track them at lvl 80 and mist the entire map whenever they're training to annoy them (or come back after 4th and meteor their rear ends)

they're just rude in maple because in real life, they're just geeks hiding behind their monitors who think they're cool.

Not everyone is a caveman and has no manners, some people are NICE and POLITE! Did you know that or have you been influenced to be this way?

No worries- don't let a few rude jerks ruin your experience. Nice people, despite what the jaded folks might say, will end up happier overall in life. Rude people, in the long run, will be seen for what they are. No one will want to be around them. Genuinely decent people will have more friends, and eventually a loved one they marry and grow old raising a family with. Truly mean people will spend their middle and older years jaded and alone, shunned by everyone around them. Decent people will end up spending their middle and older years surrounded by loved ones. Truly mean and rude people will die alone, unloved, and un-missed by anyone, the world never having known they existed. Truly kind people will die surrounded by those they love, having left a new generation to continue their legacy. Despite any short-term benefits to being rude (or cheating/lying/betraying to get ahead), in the long run being an honest, decent person who treats others kindly is the only sure-fire way to have a meaningful life.

I act like a gentleman in real life when I feel like it. There's just no need for it all the time.
