Budget i3 gaming build

Hey folks! I'm building a PC for my mother, who wants it to be sufficient for my two brothers to use in gaming. The games they play are mostly Heroes of Newerth, Team Fortress 2 , a bunch of other Source games and a bunch of less demanding games like Minecraft and MapleStory. I wanted to build it on the LGA 1156 socket for future upgrades and I thought of slapping an i3 540 on it. I read a review that it can even run Borderlands at a decent average framerate so it's definitely up for the task. Right? One of my questions is what kind of a GPU can I pair it up with if I don't want the CPU to cause a bottleneck? Radeon 5750? Also I'm completely clueless about the state of the motherboard and RAM market nowadays. Apparently the i3 540 uses dual channel DDR3 memory. If I get a motherboard that has 6 RAM slots (for triple channel) can I just 4 of them in dual channel? Any suggestions on a motherboard that is rather cheap, but does the job well? I can check the RAM compatibilities once I find a motherboard :> I can figure the rest myself, but if you have suggestions for awesome HDDs for cheap prices feel free to let me know. Thanks!

To me, it looks like Finland is about 1.5x more expensive than in the States. Huge drawback.... :/

The cheapest 4870 I can get here is 128� which is 5� more than a 5770. I've learned that the Corsair 400w PSU is insanely good as it is an established brand, has a 12V rail many other PSUs of the same price don't have and will most likely be useable far into the future with components using less and less power. I'll keep my eyes out, though. HALP! I noticed the motherboard linked eariler is a MicroATX board, but that doesn't matter, right...? It says "FSB / HTB: up to 2.6 GHz" and I'm about to slap a 3.0 GHz CPU on it. I don't feel good about that :/ EDIT: Switched to this mobo: http://www.asus.fi/product.aspx?P_ID=ZZnnpxN2BvTU45A5#

uATX is simply the form factor of the board. Usually they have a few less features than the normal ATX variants since less space means less places to put things. As far as the "FSB/HTB" part, I have no idea what youre talking about, but I can only think its the link speed which would be find with that processor. The Asus board looks nice at a glance, but Ive only glanced.
