So recently my vaio computer has been stuck at the logo and won't proceed. It doesn't make it through the first logo to the windows logo so I can't F8 to fix it EDIT: Also keyboard doesn't seem to work. I don't know if that matters but it's stuck

This could possibly be a problem with the hard drive. It sounds like it's getting stuck right at the moment the computer would first be reading from the hard drive trying to load Windows. Everything before that runs from the "BIOS" chip on the motherboard. Although, normally you'd see an error message to that effect. If your computer display a "splash screen", like a Vaio logo up until Windows starts to load, maybe that covers any error messages. Unfortunately, good diagnosis and repair of this will probably involve taking it in for service. (Replacing the hard drive could be done at home, depending on the kind of computer it is, but being sure of the problem requires special equipment and test software, plus experience.) Not sure about the keyboard- it wouldn't be in use at boot time, so it wouldn't be responding then normally. If you mean at other times, ummm.. hard to tell.
