Which nVidia card you got? And if it's overheating, open up your laptop and blow out the dust inside the fan assembly and on the heatsink. If you aren't able to do this, I recommend you bring it to a computer shop or someone who is good with computer and ask them do it for you.

It's different for each laptop, but generally, to assess the fan assembly and the heatsink you only need to take off the bottom of the laptop off using a precision phillip screwdriver. But you should look up the model of your laptop and see if you could find a disassembly manual for it. Anyways, before you start, buy a Compress Air can, turn off your laptop completely, unplugged it and take out the battery. Press the power button a few times to make sure the laptop is completely discharge. Turn the laptop over with the bottom facing up and start taking out the screws (start by opening up the compartments first, as that probably all you need to do to get to the HSF). Chances are you would need to take out the HDD as well, as there usually a screw under there. Put that HDD somewhere nobody can accidentally bump into it or anything. If you need to unplug any wires in it, get a piece a paper and a pen and jot it down to help you remember when you need to reassemble everything. Once you got all that done and have full assess to the HSF, I would recommend taking off the fan assembly completely from the laptop, if possible before cleaning it. That way you could be 100% sure you got all the dust out and not having some trap inside of it. But if you are require to take off the heatsink (the copper piece on the image above) first, then you would need to and buy reapply the thermal paste for your CPU and GT 310m. If you don't want to do all of that, then just keep it as it is. Hold the compress air can upright - not upside-down or sideways so you don't have any liquid inside of the can blowing onto your laptop - and make short quick spray while cleaning the area around your laptop, heat sink, and fan. Don't allow the fan to spin while cleaning it with the compress air, and used a soft non-linted cloth and gently wipe off any dust that may be sticking onto the fan blade. Once you done all of that, reassemble it. Quite honestly, I would still recommend you bring it to someone else. While it sound easy to some people, it may not be the same when you actually open it up and do it.

how old is your laptop? if its just started recently it could be a dust problem, I don't see any problems that the graphics card itself has had so unless you got one defective graphics card in a whole bunch it could possibly be the laptop's cooling not being sufficient? but I don't see why it would get so warm playing just combat arms which is not at all a graphically intensive game...
